CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS


This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook™.  You understand that you are providing your information to the Contest Sponsor (as described below) and not to Facebook™.  The information you provide will only be used as stated in the contest rules and regulations (unless otherwise agreed to).


IMPORTANT:  PLEASE READ THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS (“OFFICIAL RULES”) BEFORE ENTERING THE CONTESTS.  BY ENTERING THE CONTESTS AN ENTRANT REPRESENTS THAT HE OR SHE SATISFIES ALL OF THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS BELOW AND AGREES TO BE BOUND UNCONDITIONALLY BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND ALL DECISIONS OF LABATT BREWERIES OF CANADA (THE “CONTEST SPONSOR”).

  1. CONTEST ENTRY.


  1. Nightly Contest Draws: For entry into the Bud Light nightly prize giveaways, obtain an RFID bracelet from a Crew member at the Festival between August 1-August 6, 2013 and follow the instruction provided. After registering, come to the Bud Light “Home Base” area between 6:00pm-11:00pm Newfoundland time each night to have your bracelet scanned, maximum of ten times per person, for a chance to instantly win.


  1. Nightly VIP Experience Draws: For entry into the Bud Light nightly VIP experience draws, obtain an RFID bracelet from a Crew member at the Festival from August 1-August 6, 2013 and follow the instructions provided. After registering, come to the Bud Light “Home Base” area between 6:00pm-9:30pm Newfoundland time each night to have your bracelet scanned, a maximum of ten times per person, for a chance to win.


  1. Grand Prize VIP Contest: For entry into the Bud Light Grand Prize VIP draw, obtain an RFID bracelet from a Crew member at the Festival from Thursday, August 1 – Sunday, August 4, 2013 and follow the instructions provided.   After registering, each time you find a Crew member throughout that night and “check-in” using the RFID bracelet prior to 11:00 pm Newfoundland Time on Sunday, August 4, 2013, you will receive 1 additional entry up to a maximum of 10 entries per night.  The Grand Prize Contest closes on August 4, 2013 at 11:00 pm Newfoundland time (the “Grand Prize Contest Close Date”) and must be fulfilled on Monday, August 5, 2013.


  1. To enter the Contests, entrants must complete the online registration form and answer the skill testing math question and confirm compliance with the Official Rules.  All entries received after the respective close dates of the Contests will be void.  Before being declared a winner, a selected entrant must be in compliance with the Official Rules, must correctly answer a skill-testing question without assistance by e-mail or by phone and their entry information must be verified. Any prize notification or prize delivery returned as undeliverable may result in disqualification.  By entering the Contests, participant(s) agree to be bound by the Official Rules. The Contest Sponsor reserves the right to remove any entry or posting, or refuse to allow an entry based on content. All entries become the property of the Contest Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.


2. HOW TO WIN.


  1. Nightly Draws.  Each night of the Festival (August 1, August 2, August 3, August 4, August 5 and August 6, 2013), from 6:00pm – 11:00pm Newfoundland time, consumers can scan their RFID bracelets at the Bud Light ‘Home Base’ area for a chance to instantly win 1 of 4 great prizes (as described below). Before a prize is awarded, winners must be in compliance with the Official Rules.

  2. Nightly VIP Experience Draws: Each night of the Festival (August 1, August 2, August 3, August 4, August 5 and August 6, 2013) from 6:00pm-8:30pm Newfoundland time consumers can scan their RFID bracelet at the Bud Light ‘Home Base’ area for a chance to win a VIP experience (as described below). At approximately 8:30pm Newfoundland Time, a random draw will take place from among all eligible entries received up to that time during the Nightly Contest period. THE SELECTED ENTRANTS VIP EXPERIENCE PROSPECTIVE WINNERS WILL BE CONTACTED BY PHONE AT 8:30 THE NIGHT OF THE DRAW. IF A SELECTED ENTRANT IS UNABLE TO BE CONTACTED WITHIN 10 MINUTES HE OR SHE FORFEITS THE PRIZE AND ANOTHER ENTRANT MAY, AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF SPONSOR, BE SELECTED.  Before a Nightly VIP Experience Prize is awarded, winners must and sign and return, within the time stipulated by the Contest Sponsor, a standard declaration of eligibility and compliance with the Official Rules, a publicity consent (where lawful) and release form(s), releasing the Contest Sponsor from any liability occurring as a result of the prize being awarded.


  1. Grand Prize VIP Draw.  On Sunday, August 4, at approximately 11:00pm Newfoundland Time, one (1) name will be randomly drawn from all participants at the Festival who have registered with the Crew from Tuesday, August 1 – Sunday, August 4.  The VIP prize must be redeemed on Monday, August 5; no cash substitutes. If the selected entrant is not reached by 12:00pm Newfoundland time on Monday, August 5, he/she forfeits the prize and another winner may be chosen. WINNER must be at least 19 years of age to  win the VIP Grand Prize. If the winner is not able to verify that they are 19 years of age or older, another winner may be randomly drawn to replace them. Before the Grand Prize is awarded, winner (and guests) must sign and return, within the time stipulated by the Contest Sponsor, a standard declaration of eligibility and compliance with the Official Rules, a publicity consent (where lawful) and release form(s), releasing the Contest Sponsor from any liability occurring as a result of the prize being awarded.

 

 

All winners will be required to correctly answer a skill testing math question, without assistance, by email, phone or in person, and otherwise have complied with the Official Rules to be declared the winner. Any prize notification or prize delivery returned as undeliverable may result in disqualification.


  1. CONTESTS – PRIZE DESCRIPTIONS.


  1. Nightly Draw Prizes.  Consumers can win 1 of 4 nightly prizes valued between $10 and $100.

  2. Nightly VIP Experience Draws. There are a total of 7 nightly VIP experience prizes for the winner plus a guest to be won, each consisting of access to the VIP side stage area for viewing of the final concert each night.

  3. VIP Grand Prize. There is one (1) VIP Grand Prize available to be won. VIP prize is for winner and three (3) friends. Package includes tickets to the Monday night concert, transportation downtown, one (1) night standard hotel accommodation, based on double occupancy, dinner and access to the VIP side stage area. Approximate retail value is $1,000 CAD. Prize winner and guests must depart from same destination. Alcohol is not part of the prize.


  1. ODDS.   The odds of winning the VIP Grand Prize depend on the number of eligible entries received on August 1, 2013, 2012 up until the Grand Prize Contest Close Date.  The odds of winning a Nightly VIP Experience depend on the number of eligible Contest entries received up until 8:30pm Newfoundland Time each night. The odd of winning a nightly instant prize depend of the number of prizing left and entries received up until 11:00pm Newfoundland Time each night


  1. ELIGIBILITY.  Must be 19 years of age or older and a resident of Canada (excluding Quebec) to participate. Employees and persons domiciled with employees of the Contest Sponsor, or its respective affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, site providers as well as any other licensed manufacturer, importer, supplier, wholesaler or retailer of alcoholic beverages, as well as the applicable provincial liquor licensing and control boards are not eligible to participate in this Contest. To be eligible, an entrant must comply with the Official Rules and properly complete the online registration.  The applicable liquor authorities are not connected with this contest in any manner whatsoever and are not liable in any way whatsoever in regard to any matter which relates to this contest.


  1. AWARDING OF PRIZES.  Prizes must be accepted as awarded. Prizes are non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash. No substitutions, except by the Contest Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize or any portion of a prize with a prize of equal or greater value.


  1. PUBLICITY CONSENT / RELEASE.  Prize winners may be required to sign a declaration, publicity consent, waiver and release before receiving the night VIP prize and VIP Grand Prize By participating in the Contests, all participants declare that they have read, understood and complied with the Official Rules, consent to the use of their name, biographical information and/or likeness for the purposes of advertising and promotion without further compensation, agree to abide by all decisions by the Contest Sponsor, and agree to release and hold harmless the Contest Sponsor, prize suppliers, their respective affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agencies from any liability in connection with participating in this contest and/or any prize awarded. The Contest Sponsor is not responsible for errors in the offer or administration of this contest, including, but not limited to, errors in the advertising, the contest rules, the selection and announcement of the winners or the distribution of any prize.


  1. RFID and ONLINE ENTRY ISSUES.  The Contest Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions including lost, misappropriated or corrupted entries, virus, worm or Trojan Horse damage or any other damage which may limit a participant’s ability to participate in the Contests. Finally, the entrant represents and warrants to Contest Sponsor that the entry will not contain content that she or he does not have the right to transmit under any law, contract or fiduciary relationship or which contains any viruses or any other information that may damage or otherwise interfere with any Contest Sponsor computer systems, data or that of other users.  The Contest Sponsor is not responsible for malfunctioning RFID bracelets.


  1. INVALID ENTRY.  The Contest Sponsors reserve the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any individual who is found (i) to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contests; (ii) to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; or (iii) to be acting in an un-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.  CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY ALTER OR DAMAGE ANY ENTRY OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY SUCH ENTRANT OR INDIVIDUAL AND SEEK DAMAGES OR ANY OTHER REMEDY FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT OR INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.


  1. GENERAL.  The contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, municipal and local laws. The Contest Sponsors reserve the right to modify or terminate this contest at any time without notice to participants.  All decisions of the Contest Sponsor shall be final.

Furthermore, if you indicated your consent, the Companies may collect and use your Information to: (a) contact you about other promotions and services offered by the Companies; (b) use other personal information you provide on this ballot, including your expressed preferences and opinions (e.g., beer brand preferences), in order for the Companies to contact you about promotions and services in which the Companies believe you would be most interested; and (c) to comply with the law and regulatory requirements.
